A native of Indiana, Harry Ohanian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Kentucky Wesleyan University. He then followed his musical endeavors deep into the heart of Texas where he became a band director for 10 years. As a specialized trombonist and low brass musician, Harry was also drawn to the art of sound recording. In 1991, Harry Ohanian founded Harry O’s Recording Studio, which led to his involvement as a pianist with three different bands: Reunion, Full Circle, and Direct Connection. With a passion for music and fascination with technology, Harry decided to expand his studio into a professional recording facility where musicians could express themselves.

When Harry first became associated with Steve Carr of Righteous Rain Productions, he realized their shared interest in music. It was this interest that would not only develop Harry O’s into a state of the art recording studio, but build a professional partnership of musical expertise, loyalty, and friendship.

Harry Ohanian established this studio to provide musicians an escape from the noisy and chaotic life of the city, yet with all the cutting edge technology and brand name equipment found in Austin, Dallas, Houston, etc. Surrounded by acres of scenic pastures and access to top of the line technology, Harry O’s Recording Studio is definitely an octave above the rest!

Steve Carr of Righteous Rain Productions has been involved in recording for over 25 years. First as a musician, then as a producer, then as an engineer. He attended the New York School of Recording in 1984 then did his internship at Rivendell Recorders in Houston. Recording technology and techniques have really changed a lot over the past few years, however some of the old fundamentals will never change.

Steve has been in the Bryan / College Station area for 6 years now and has been the engineer at Harry O's Recording Studio during that time. With an impressive list of clientele and over 60 CD projects and countless demos under his belt, he's still going strong. "I love working at Harry's. It's home."
